A driver killed Friday morning in a Lemon Grove hit-and-run crash was identified Saturday as a 25-year-old El Cajon woman.
The Medical Examiner’s Office identified her as Leslie Nunez Rosas.
Rosas was driving west on state Route 94 near College Avenue when a black sedan traveling in the same direction struck her vehicle and several others, according to CHP Officer Danielle McComb. The incident occurred around 8:25 a.m.
Rosas’ car was pushed off the freeway, down an embankment, and into vehicles on the College Avenue off-ramp, the CHP said. Rosas was ejected during the crash and died before she could be taken to a hospital.
She was the only occupant in the vehicle.
The driver of the sedan kept going after the collisions but was detained several minutes later. McComb confirmed that alcohol and drugs are being investigated as possible factors in the crash.
