Farm groups are holding a seminar Jan. 5 on the implementation of Assembly Bill 2183, a new California card-check law that will take effect Jan. 1.
The workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon and will feature representatives from Barsamian and Moody, a labor law firm. The attorneys will explain how card-check works and cover adminnistrative penalties and other details. Spanish-language interpretation is available.
The workshop at the Coachella Corporation Yard, 53462 Enterprise Way, is sponsored by California Citrus Mutual, Western Growers, the California Fresh Fruit Association, the Farm Employers Labor Service, and California Farm Bureau.
