A series of heavy rain-producing storms caused the San Diego River to flood in Mission Valley. There were a number of rescues and a few cars got stuck in the rising waters. Mission Center Road, Camino de la Reina, and Fashion Valley Road were among the major roadways closed.

A car was submerged on Fashion Valley Road at the San Diego River which reached flood level in Mission Valley on Monday. The driver was rescued in the earlier in the morning.
