Police are searching for the driver of a car that injured a pedestrian Saturday in Mira Mesa, officials said.
At 1:31 p.m., San Diego police received calls of a possible hit-and-run crash near Camino Ruiz and Jade Court Drive, said Officer Darius Jamsetjee.
The vehicle was described as a red or burgundy, four-door sedan, Jamsetjee said.
The extent of the pedestrian’s injuries were unknown, Jamsetjee said, but paramedics had to perform live-saving measures at the scene.
The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital.
Jamsetjee said the incident has been classified as a felony hit-and-run.
