Main Services Provided

.First Steps at Beverly’s House: A residential program that provides up to 24 months transitional housing and support services for emancipated young women and their children exiting the foster care system.
My Sister’s Closet: Provides free clothing to homeless or low-income women preparing to enter or re-enter the workforce.
Joanie’s Purse Project: Provides a new purse/handbag filled with personal care items for women residing in homeless and domestic violence shelters.
Resource and Referral Services: Assists women in transition in accessing human service agencies.
Y Women Matter!: A membership association of Orange County professional and philanthropic women which features prominent speakers and networking opportunities.
Accomplishments
For 90 years, the YWCA Central Orange County has been a community institution that has served the women of Orange County and their families. As the needs of the women of Orange County have evolved, so has the YWCA COC’s programming. Currently the YWCA COC has five programs that serve over 1,000 Orange County women annually.
