| In addition to providing basic needs, Thomas
House assists families in becoming self-sufficient by providing the following
services:
- Case Management
- On-site Employment Counseling through: job search assistance,
resume writing, application completion, interview preparation, computer
training, and provisions for business apparel.
- Housing and Transportation Assistance
- Independent Living Skills Training.
- On-site Individual and Family Counseling
- After School Programs: homework (including school supplies)
and arts and crafts for children.
- Off-site Child Care
- Former Residents Outreach Program
Thomas House Temporary Shelter has been supplying services to homeless
families for 17 years, has expanded throughout that period and has continued
to introduce new services to clients as funding permits. Thomas
House has the experience, management, staff, volunteer network and community
support necessary to continue operation of the shelter in the foreseeable
future. |
