Organization Mission
The primary mission of the County of Orange ,Resources & Development Management Department (RDMD) is to provide, operate and maintain quality public facilities and regional resources for the residents of Orange County, and safeguard the high quality of life in unincorporated Orange County through stewardship of the environment, application and enforcement of building, water and grading regulations, and planning of strategically balanced communities.
 
Harbors, Beaches & Parks goal is to carry out the mission of RDMD by (1) Provide high quality regional and recreation facilities that are well maintained, operated and safe, and offer diverse enjoyable recreational experiences and (2) Preserve and interpret Orange County’s historical and natural resources.
 
Main Services Provided
The Adopt-A-Park Program recruits volunteers to serve at over 30 different Harbors, Beaches & Parks all over Orange County
 
Greatest Accomplishments

Adopt-A-Park volunteers assist with beatification of over 39,000 acres of spectacular resources helping to preserve and maintain the natural beauty and allure of these distinct landscapes and facilities, striving to maximize the outdoor experience for locals and visitors alike.

 
Greatest Needs

There are many ways you can be part of our Adopt-A-Park Volunteer Team.  From being a trail monitor, to creating a new trail; Planting new gardens to maintaining present ones; Staffing an interpretive center to leading nature walks for visitors, the possibilities are endless.
