Main Services Provided

The Anaheim Family YMCA has a 96-year history of teaching youth important values such as honesty, caring, respect and responsibility through a variety of youth and family programs.

  • YMCA Children’s Station is a state-licensed childcare facility for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, serving 90 families daily.
  • YMCA Youth Sports instills teamwork and good character through a variety of sports activities, including basketball, flag football, cheerleading, karate, gymnastics, bitty sports, fitness and more. The program serves 2,800 youth and adults annually.
  • YMCA Camp offers two resident camps each summer—Camp Fox for teens and Camp Miehana for younger kids. The program provides campers the unique opportunity to make lifelong friends, build confidence, meet positive role models, and challenge themselves to accept and demonstrate positive values.
  • YMCA Youth & Government helps 25 local high school students develop leadership skills through a mock legislative process, where they conduct research, lobby for votes, hold elections and debate legislation on state Senate and Assembly floors. Model United Nations builds leadership among elementary and middle school students as they learn about themselves and the world around them.
  • Anaheim Achieves is an award-winning after-school collaboration serving 5,000 students each day in 44 local elementary and junior high schools. It provides youth with a safe environment, academic support, positive role models, fitness, recreation and enrichment. Current partners include the Anaheim Family YMCA, the city of Anaheim, local school districts, Orange County and California Departments of Education, and many more community organizations.
