Organization Mission

The Women's Transitional Living Center, Inc. (WTLC) is a non-profit, community-based, organization committed to seeking solutions to end domestic violence. Our goal, in coordination with other community agencies and organizations, is to intervene in the cycle of violence. To meet the needs of the communities we serve, WTLC provides comprehensive services  through its emergency shelters, transitional shelter, and outreach program. All aspects of the services provided focus on prevention, education, advocacy and support.

 

Main Services Provided

WTLC provides services to Victims of Domestic Violence and their children,
 We also have a substance abuse program for dual diagnosis clients and drug / alcohol abuse. In addition WTLC has a human trafficking program providing services to victims of human trafficking. Our reunification program is  one year long term housing. WTLC also offers a full fledged Immigration Clinic to victims of Domestic Violence and sexual assault. Through our Outreach Dept. WTLC offers legal advocacy, TRO assistance, direct legal  referrals for custody , divorce, child support. We provide community education and awareness on Domestic Violence and other topics such as Healthy Relations, Anger Management, Parenting, Red flags and Domestic Violence and the effects on children. WTLC also offers support groups for adults and teens.

 
Greatest Needs

We can always use gifts cards, grocery vouchers, movie passes, Wal-Mart cards, Target and Mervyn’s cards. These are given to the clients as gifts during birthdays and holidays. The clients also receive the gift cards for diapers and food.
