The Anaheim based Community Benefits Coalition, a coalition of various socially concerned organizations as well as local neighborhood leaders from depressed areas of Anaheim near to the development site of Anaheim Platinum Triangle. As you may know, there has been a multi-year process of generating research, town hall meetings, meetings with city leaders, coalition gatherings and the like to develop and vision and strategy for incorporating community voice into this exciting development that will move us all forward together. We will be holding meetings with individual council members to hear their thoughts on this document and to speak out about the main points of the vision: good quality jobs, accessible and affordable housing, responsible development practices around transit, park and recreation etc. In advance of this, we are seeking personal/organizational endorsements from allies within our respective organizations to show the breadth and depth of support for responsible development in the Platinum Triangle. The voice of the faith community is critical as this is about infusing city planning and development projects with the value of our faith to care for the most vulnerable and to uphold the common good.
